Photo impression

The festival started Wednesday 4 November, with the opening of the exhibition Kika & Bob Visual trip by Fons Schiedon, and the open-air installation Handelingen by Maarten Isaak de Heer. Later that evening the opening ceremony took place in City, with First Squad:The Moment of Truth and the world premiere of Red-end and the Seemingly Symbiotic Society.

Along with competitions and full-length animation films, the Main Programme includes The Cutting Edge, a programme devoted to exciting, new exchanges between film, visual arts, games and internet. Besides the Main Programme there are Retrospectives and Talkshows and presentations.

HAFF leader 2009 selected at Anima

HAFF leader 2009 (USA) by Motomichi Nakamura is selected  for the World Short program at Anima, the international animation film festival Brussels.

Motomichi Nakamura was born in Tokyo, Japan and graduated from Parsons School of Design. He currently lives and works in Brooklyn, NY.

Illustrator and Manga-artist Yuichi Yokoyama lives and works in Tokyo. His comics frequently appear in the magazine Comic Cue. In 2004 his best know comics Travaux Publics and Combats came out.
