Artist-in-residence Sun Xun

The young Chinese artist Sun Xun (1980, Fuxin China) has been invited by the Holland Animation Film Festival in Utrecht as their artist-in-residence. With this special residency, the HAFF spans a bridge between art and cinema.

During his residency, Sun Xun devotes himself to the creation of a large artwork, combining animations, video screenings, wall paintings and assorted objects in unique ways. The audience is welcomed to closely follow the creative process and the progress of the art piece.

Deadline entries competition shorts, commissioned films, European student films, features and Dutch animation has passed. It is no longer possible to submit a film for the 14th edition of the Holland Animation Film Festival.

Haff leader 2008, British animation awards


HAFF leader 2008 made by Pete Bishop and Lee Wilson Wolfe (UK) is the winner of the Best Film/TV Graphics at the prestigious British Animation Awards. Thursday night 8th April the eighth British Animation Awards was held at the BFI Southbank, Londen. The jury described the leader as: ‘fresh, raw, original and fun.’
